A multimedia brand has to mix different forms of media together to communicate and engage their customers but to also build on brand awareness (Bruce, 2018).
Complex, the online publication is successful in utilising many aspects of multimedia, for example, throughout its publication it mainly uses high quality still images which coincide with the topics spoken about.
However, the publication exceeds the basics of still images and engages with podcasts, tv and video, which explores a variety of different content.
Even though the publication has a variety of media tools, Complex does not provide a print format. Thus, the publication can only be accessed for online readers showing the brand could be limiting their customers. Similar publications like Highsnobiety have both print and online, which maximises their audience reach and engagement.
